From the Editor

The global reach of Bob Ray Offenhauser’s architecture includes a palace in Saudi Arabia, a mansion in Honduras, a Chinese pavilion, a Japanese pavilion, and a giant botanical conservatory. He feels justly honored to be the American architect of the world’s largest Chinese garden (outside of China) at the famed Huntington Gardens in San Marino, California.

Offenhauser is also unique among today’s leading architects in that he does not indulge himself by creating “signature” Offenhauser houses. Each house he designs is different because every family is different. Each of his houses is customized to the individual needs and desires of the family who lives there.

Offenhauser is a third-generation Californian and a graduate of the School of Architecture at the University of Southern California. The classical grace of his structures reflects a lifetime of traveling and studying the world’s great cultures.

His architecture has been featured in Architectural Digest, House & Garden, and more.
